Each year, we come together as a community to celebrate something truly special — the difference we make, together. IMPACT DAY is our annual opportunity to pause, reflect, and celebrate the compassion, dedication, and strength that fuel our charity’s mission of supporting neonatal families through every stage of their journey.
This year’s IMPACT DAY was one to remember! To say “thank you” to our amazing volunteers — our Cotside Peer Supporters, Fundraisers, Memory Makers, Community Meet Peer Supporters, Online Peer Supporters, and Trustees — we treated everyone to a fun-filled day at Crealy Theme Park. It was a day full of laughter, connection, and well-deserved celebration for the people who make our charity what it is.
A Morning of Fun and Team Spirit
We started the day with some light-hearted team-building games, giving everyone a chance to mix, laugh, and share stories. It was wonderful to see new friendships form and old ones rekindle as volunteers from across our different teams came together. The morning was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and a wonderful sense of togetherness — a reminder that while our roles may differ, our purpose is shared.
Delicious Food, Sweet Treats, and Great Company
After working up an appetite, we gathered for a delicious buffet lunch — and, of course, no celebration would be complete without plenty of cake! The lunch was a perfect moment to relax, chat, and reflect on all the incredible things we’ve achieved this year.
It was also a chance to celebrate the unseen moments of impact — the kind words shared in hospital corridors, the emotional support offered online, the fundraising events that make our work possible, and the dedication of our trustees guiding our vision forward.
An Afternoon of Family Fun
The afternoon was all about family fun. Volunteers and their loved ones had the chance to explore the theme park, enjoy rides, and make new memories together. It was heartwarming to see smiles on faces — not just from our volunteers, but from their families who so often share in their commitment and generosity.
The day reminded us that behind every act of kindness is a person (and often a family) giving their time, heart, and energy to support others.
Reflecting on Our Impact
IMPACT DAY isn’t just about celebration — it’s about recognising the real difference we make together. Over the past year, we’ve supported countless families through some of their most challenging moments. Our volunteers have offered listening ears, comforting words, and unwavering empathy — both in hospitals and in our wider community.
From peer support at the cotside to community meets and online support, every role contributes to our shared mission of making sure no neonatal family ever feels alone.
